What Company Losses Due To Stay-at-Home Orders are Covered By Insurance

The Legal Impact Of Stay-at-Home Orders On Commercial Leases

The coronavirus pandemic continues to shutdown most of the world's economy in big ways and small ways. We continue to suffer from massive layoffs and business losses. The primary issue then becomes whether the insurance companies will cover the losses due to business interruption and the lawsuits likely to follow. What happens if you cannot pay your rent on your commercial space?

Join us for this February 17 webinar to learn more from this expert attorney and ask questions specific to your remodeling business. Please find linked and attached a summary of published articles (Daily Journal Article: Commercial Tenancy During Stay-At-Home Order) with the webinar to go into more detail.

PLUS, 3 networking breakout rooms to choose from. More details to come on the topics!

Speakers:

Chuck M. Mollett, CPA from Mollett & Burian Accountancy Corporation (taxes)

Joshua Berger, attorney from Berliner Cohen LLP (insurance & legal)

Josh Borger is a partner at Berliner Cohen, LLP.  He practices commercial and civil litigation in a variety of areas, including real estate, unfair business practices, breach of contract, trademarks, trade secrets, employment, and insurance coverage and litigation.

Meeting Etiquette:  We encourage members to bring their employees to meetings, so as a courtesy your NARI Board of Directors is asking that direct employment recruitment not be conducted at meetings.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: If there are registration fees, you may cancel up to 24 hours before the meeting begins and request to receive a full refund or have credit applied for a future meeting (except Meta Gala) in the same year. No shows or same-day cancellations will not receive a refund.

Prospective Members/Returning Guests Policy: Prospective guests will be allowed to attend their first 2 chapter meetings at no charge (this is limited to 2 people from the non-member company). After their 3rd chapter meeting, prospective members need to pay the current non-member rate before deciding to join. After their third meeting, if prospective members have not joined, their name(s) will be removed from the meetings e-mail list.
