Joint Meeting with NKBA: Is our Vision 2020 or Beyond? An Economic Outlook for Remodeling and the US Economy

In this entertaining presentation and learning experience, Robert Eyler will discuss what the current national and local economy means for our industry. He will focus on economic trends in California, considerations after the North Bay fires, material costs & labor market issues and the future in the Bay Area.  He will:

  • Provide an economic outlook and speak on the current aspects of the US economy, both the good as well as the concerning
  • Give an understanding of the links between current and forecasted growth, Federal Reserve changes to come, and how equity markets may or may not affect remodeling demand
  • Illuminate hiring, budgets, and other planning to aid in decision making for your business given the economic forecast

About the Speaker:
Dr. Robert Eyler is President of Economic Forensics and Analytics, specializing in public policy analysis for firms and governments. He is also Dean of the School of Extended and International Education and Professor of Economics at Sonoma State University. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis and a B.A. in Economics at CSU, Chico. Robert has been a visiting scholar at both the University of Bologna and Stanford University. Robert is a Sonoma County native, and his family have been sheep and cattle ranchers in Marin and Sonoma counties since 1910.

NARI Silicon Valley is excited to announce the kick-off of our 2019 Silent Auction! The auction will take place during our June 19 chapter meeting. Attendees will be able to bid on a series of quality items. The top bidder will pay by cash, check or credit card at the event.

Buy something for yourself, family, or a friend, there’s truly something for everyone in this auction. More details to come on these auction items. We are especially counting on our members to help make this event a success in two ways: First, by “bringing” as many staff and guests as possible to the meeting, and second, by bidding on the items.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to:

TurningWheels for Kids is a program of the Valley Medical Center Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization (Federal Tax ID 77-0187890), that distributes bikes not only at the holiday but also year round through a number of partnerships focused on preventing childhood obesity and supporting low-income families.

Generously Sponsored by: University Electric Home Appliance Center

Cancellation/Refund Policy: You may cancel up to 24 hours before the meeting begins and request to receive a full refund or have credit applied for a future meeting (except Meta Gala) in the same year. No shows or same-day cancellations will not receive a refund.

Prospective Members/Returning Guests Policy: Prospective guests will be allowed to attend their first 2 chapter meetings at no charge (this is limited to 2 people from the non-member company). After their 3rd chapter meeting, prospective members need to pay the current non-member rate before deciding to join. After their third meeting, if prospective members have not joined, their name(s) will be removed from the meetings e-mail list.

Thank you again to our generous May 2019 sponsor, Daltile San Jose, for hosting this intimate tabletop vendor showcase. Attendees were able to have 1-on-1 discussions as well as hear small presentations on the products &/or services offered by these well-known vendors below. A few lucky attendees won some great vendor raffle prizes! If you missed this special event, email the NARI Office and we can personally connect you with the reps here.
